How to Choose a Male Entertainment Agency in Los Angeles: 6 Options Compared (2026 Honest Guide)

Full disclosure up front: I run one of the agencies compared in this guide (HeatLine VIP). I've included honest pros and cons for HeatLine — including where we're weaker than competitors — because a rigged "we're #1" list would be useless to you and easy to spot. If this guide helps you pick a competitor instead, that's a fine outcome. The point is to help you not get burned booking male entertainment in LA.
What actually matters when picking a male entertainment agency in LA
If you Googled "best male entertainment Los Angeles" and landed here, you're probably staring at 10 sites that all look the same, all promise "professional performers," and all show similar photos. Here's what actually separates the good ones from the ones that will ruin your bachelorette:
- Booking confirmation in writing. If an agency won't send you an emailed confirmation with performer name, arrival window, package details and price — walk away. This is the #1 red flag for scam operators posing as agencies.
- Transparent all-inclusive pricing. A quote of "$300" that turns into $520 after "travel fee," "mandatory 20% tip," "setup charge," and "same-day surcharge" is the oldest game in this industry. Confirm the final number in writing before you book.
- Real service area coverage. Many agencies list every California city on their homepage but only reliably serve a 15-mile radius around West Hollywood. If your event is in Anaheim, Ventura or Palm Springs, ask specifically about travel and whether they've done events in that exact city.
- Response time under 24 hours. Legitimate agencies respond to inquiries within 1–4 business hours. If you send a booking form and hear back three days later, that's your future customer service experience.
- Costume theme options. If the agency can only offer "regular guy in gym clothes," you're paying $400+ for something you could have found on Craigslist. Real agencies stock fireman, cowboy, police, sheriff, doctor, military, construction and other themed costumes.

Deep dive: each agency broken down
1. The Cheeky Butlers Category leader
Format: Butler service (extended presence, 2–5 hours)
Founded: 2015
Rating: 5.0 (500+ reviews)
What they do well
Cheeky Butlers is the most recognizable brand in the US butler-style male entertainment category. They serve 30+ cities, have a slick booking platform on letsbatch.com, and their reviews consistently mention professionalism and reliability. If you're planning a longer daytime event (pool party, brunch, spa day) and want a performer as an ongoing presence rather than a 30-minute show, they're the safest choice.
Where they fall short
Their pricing is on the higher end (usually $500+ for a 2-hour minimum), and the "butler" format doesn't include a choreographed performance — the performer serves drinks and interacts with guests, but isn't there to give a themed show. If you want a fireman-style entrance and a 45-minute performance, this isn't the format. Booking usually requires 3–5 days lead time.
Best for: Pool parties, daytime bachelorettes, brunches, extended celebrations where you want a friendly performer hanging out rather than a headline show.
2. A Butler Company
Format: Butler service
Founded: 2010
Coverage: Nationwide (LA is a strong market)
What they do well
A Butler Company markets themselves as the "longest-running" butler service in the US, and they have a broad geographic footprint. If your event is in a city outside major LA markets — say Bakersfield, Fresno, or somewhere in the Central Valley — they'll usually still cover it via traveling performers.
Where they fall short
The brand is generic and forgettable — you won't remember them a week after your event. Their booking process is slower than newer competitors (email-heavy, no instant confirmation), and the performer roster feels rotating rather than a consistent stable of people you can request by name. Also butler-only, no themed show format.
Best for: Events in less-served California cities where Cheeky Butlers doesn't reliably reach.
3. The Hollywood Men
Format: Group show at Hollywood venue
Founded: 1999
Venue: Fixed location in Hollywood
What they do well
Twenty-five years of operating history and a fixed venue in Hollywood makes them the "safe bet" if you want a big-production experience with dance choreography, lighting, and a full cast of 6–10 performers. Great for larger groups (15–40 guests) who want to buy tickets, arrive, and have zero logistics to manage on the night.
Where they fall short
You go to them, they don't come to you. If your bachelorette wants a private at-home party in Anaheim or Ventura, this doesn't fit. The per-ticket pricing adds up fast — a group of 12 easily crosses $700 once you factor in tickets, table service and drinks. Also less intimate than an at-home show and you're sharing the venue with other groups on the same night.
Best for: Groups of 15+ who want a "night out" experience at a real venue with production value, and don't mind sharing the space.
4. Bad Boy Strip
Format: Solo / duo at-home
Coverage: SoCal + Vegas
Presence: Established, medium visibility
What they do well
Solid coverage across Southern California and Las Vegas, at-home format that includes themed costumes and a choreographed performance. Mid-range pricing, and their response time on booking inquiries is reasonable (usually within a day).
Where they fall short
The website UX is dated — booking through it feels like 2018, and the performer profiles aren't updated with fresh photos consistently. Communication after booking is functional but not proactive; you'll need to follow up if you have questions. Same-day booking is inconsistent — they'll try, but availability depends heavily on which weekend night you're targeting.
Best for: Standard weekday or weeknight bachelorettes with 3–7 days lead time. Not ideal for last-minute Saturday-night bookings.
5. Male Stripper Magic
Format: Solo / duo at-home
Coverage: LA metro (limited beyond)
SEO presence: Strong
What they do well
Male Stripper Magic ranks well in Google for direct search terms and has a straightforward booking process for LA-metro at-home events. Their entry-level pricing is competitive.
Where they fall short
The brand and website feel stuck in the early 2010s — design, photography and copy haven't been meaningfully updated in years, which raises questions about how active the operation still is. Coverage outside central LA is unreliable; they may accept a booking for Orange County or Long Beach and then subcontract to a performer who's less consistent than the ones featured on the site. Reviews online are mixed.
Best for: Budget-conscious LA-city bookings where you're willing to trade polish for a lower price.
6. HeatLine VIP Our agency
Format: Solo / duo / trio at-home + butler add-on
Founded: 2018
Rating: 4.9 (287+ reviews)
What we do well
We're founder-run, which means the person you're talking to is the person accountable for your booking. Same-day booking is genuinely available (not "we'll try" — we maintain on-call performers). All-inclusive pricing starts at $200 for a solo 30-minute show with no hidden fees or mandatory tips. Bilingual English/Spanish service. Coverage spans LA, Orange County, San Diego, Ventura County, Palm Springs and Las Vegas. Costume themes include fireman, cowboy, police, sheriff, doctor, military, construction, sailor and custom requests. Response time on inquiries averages 1–2 hours.
Where we fall short
We're smaller than Cheeky Butlers or Hollywood Men in performer roster size, so on high-demand weekends (peak summer Saturday nights) our first-choice performer for a specific theme may not be available if you book last-minute. We don't offer the venue-show format that Hollywood Men has — if you want a big group production with a stage, we're not the right fit. And because we're founder-run, we don't have the review volume of a 25-year-old operation like Hollywood Men.
Best for: At-home bachelorettes, birthdays, divorce parties and private events across SoCal and Vegas where transparent pricing, fast response, bilingual service, and same-day availability matter. Weekday events with under 3 weeks lead time and any city between LA and Vegas.

Which agency fits your specific event?
Small at-home bachelorette (6–15 guests, evening)
Any of the at-home agencies work. Filter by response speed and whether you need same-day booking. Best fit: HeatLine VIP or Bad Boy Strip.
Pool party or day-long celebration (5+ hours)
You want butler format. Best fit: Cheeky Butlers or A Butler Company.
Large group night out in Hollywood (20+ people)
You want a venue with production. Best fit: The Hollywood Men.
Event outside LA proper (Anaheim, San Diego, Palm Springs, Vegas)
Coverage is the priority. Best fit: HeatLine VIP (all listed cities) or A Butler Company (nationwide).
Same-day or last-minute (under 24 hours notice)
Most agencies quote "we'll try" — few actually deliver. Best fit: HeatLine VIP (maintains on-call performers for same-day availability when the calendar allows).
Bilingual event (Spanish-speaking guests, quinceañera-adjacent celebrations)
Most agencies operate in English only. Best fit: HeatLine VIP (English/Spanish bilingual service).
Red flags to walk away from immediately
- No verifiable business address or business phone. If the only contact is a personal Instagram DM, run.
- Cash-only demands with no invoice. Legitimate agencies accept cash but also send a booking confirmation email and invoice.
- "$100 deposit via Venmo to secure the date" with no booking form. Common scam pattern.
- Prices dramatically below the market ($100 for a solo show). Either bait-and-switch or the performer is unvetted.
- Photos that look like stock imagery or don't match on the day. Ask for a specific performer by name and confirm they'll be the one arriving.
- Refusal to send anything in writing. If they'll only communicate by phone or WhatsApp voice notes, there's a reason.
- Aggressive upsells or "special weekend pricing" surcharges added after quote. Reputable agencies quote a final all-inclusive number upfront.
Pricing benchmarks (2026 Los Angeles market)
| Format | Typical duration | Market price range |
| Solo at-home show | 30 min | $200 – $400 |
| Solo at-home show | 60 min | $300 – $550 |
| Duo at-home show | 45–60 min | $375 – $700 |
| Trio / premium show | 60–90 min | $525 – $1,200 |
| Butler service | 2–5 hours | $400 – $1,500 |
| Group show at venue | Per ticket | $45 – $95 / person |
Add travel fees for events beyond a 20–30 mile radius from West Hollywood (typical range: $50–$150 depending on distance). Palm Springs, San Diego and Las Vegas usually carry a travel supplement of $150–$300.
Frequently asked questions
Do I tip the performer if pricing is "all-inclusive"?
Tipping is always appreciated but should never be mandatory if the agency advertises all-inclusive pricing. A tip in the $20–$50 range is a warm gesture; refusing to book because you don't want to feel pressured into a tip is completely valid.
Can I request a specific costume theme?
Yes. All six agencies compared here offer costume themes on request. The most common are fireman, cowboy, police officer, sheriff, doctor, military, construction, and pizza delivery. Some agencies also do custom themes (Star Wars, superhero, Halloween-specific) with 1–2 weeks notice.
What happens if the performer doesn't show up?
This is why booking confirmation in writing matters. A reputable agency will refund your deposit or send a replacement performer within 30–60 minutes. If an agency can't tell you the answer to this question upfront, don't book them.
Are these shows appropriate for a mixed-comfort-level group?
Yes — every agency here can dial the show up or down based on your group's preference. During booking, specify PG-13 (comedy-heavy, mostly clothed), moderate (partial reveal, playful) or full show. The performer will follow that direction.
Is male entertainment legal in California?
Yes, adult male entertainment for private events at homes, Airbnbs, and hotel suites is legal in California when the audience is 21+ and the venue permits it. Some HOAs, wedding venues and specific hotels have their own restrictions — confirm with your venue before booking.
Still not sure which agency fits your event?
Send us a quick note with your date, city and group size. We'll give you an honest recommendation — even if it's a competitor on this list.
